Days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ludhiana visit, Aam Aadmi Party national convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will be in Punjab’s industrial town to release party’s Trade and Industry manifesto for 2017 polls on Sunday.
Kejriwal, during his three-day Punjab visit, would release party manifesto for the traders and industrialists, besides meeting them.
“On his three-day visit to Punjab, Kejriwal will meet traders and industrialists at ludhiana and Mandi Gobindgarh on October 23. He will release the manifesto and address the community there,” announced AAP’s Punjab Dialogue Committee chairman Kanwar Sandhu and party’s Trade and Industry wing head Aman Arora.
They said that Delhi Chief Minister will pay respect at Gurdwara Damdama Sahib at Talwandi Sabo on the next day and then interact with the traders’ community at Bathinda and Jalandhar.
On the last day of his visit, October 25, Kejriwal will visit Batala and Mohali to meet traders and will listen to the problems and possible solutions from the community.
AAP leaders said that the anti-traders policies of SAD-BJP have forced the industrialists to shift their units in other states, and there was a great need to reinstall the faith of the traders in the government by drafting pro-traders policies.
Talking about the Trade and Industry manifesto, Kanwar Sandhu said that seven dialogues were organized with the different sections of trade community including commission agents, sheller owners, real estate, hoteliers etc throughout the state.
“The committee got more than 2,000 written suggestions and many emails that helped team to draft the manifesto. Apart from the Punjab dialogue committee, trade and industry wing organized meetings with the community at around 30 places,” he added.
Arora said that due to the government apathy, higher power tariffs and gunda taxes, industrialists were forced to shift their businesses in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir.
AAP promises to stand by the rights of trader community and will provide a healthy environment for doing business in the state, he said adding that the land, sand and liquor mafia will be wiped out of the state after formation of AAP government in the state.
