Kejriwal attacks BJP for seeking votes in name of cows

Published on:

A day after accusing the BJP-led Haryana Government of not allocating sufficient funds for cattle fodder, Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party convener Arvind Kejriwal on Monday asked the Haryana Government to allocate Rs 40 per cow per day to ensure their proper care.

Kejriwal, after visiting a cow shelter in Rohtak said that Haryana Government releases around 40 paise for a cow per day while the Delhi Government gives Rs 40 per day for a cow.

The BJP, which is seeking votes in name of cow, should also take care of cow, the Delhi Chief Minister said.

The cow shelters are being run by various social organizations but the State Government should also contribute for proper care and enough fodder for cows, he added

A day before also, Kejriwal had lashed out at the Haryana Government for ignoring the bovine species in cow shelters across the state. He had visited a cow shelter in Sonipat's village Saidpur.

Hitting out at the BJP, Kejriwal had said that it is wrong to seek votes and play politics in the name of cow which is currently happening in the country.
