JVM to contest all 81 seats in State: Marandi

The Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (JVM) is eying to contest on all the Assembly seats in Jharkhand. The party is not willing to have alliance with any party as of now. Former CM and Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (JVM) leader Babulal Marandi on Thursday claimed that his party will emerge as the signal largest party in the State Assembly election and there is no question of alliance. Marandi was addressing the media on the sidelines of Kolhan level party workers’ conference organised at Sidhgora Town Hall.

He said that the next Government of Jharkhand will be formed by the people of Jharkhand and no party can make any claims of victory. “Though we had tied with the Congress in last Assembly polls but as of now we not decided on our pre-poll alliances,” he claimed. Marandi also attacked BJP for politicising Tara Shahdeo episode. He said that the investigating agency is probing the incident but it is unfair for a party to make it poll issue to grab political mileage.

Marandi noted that whether it is BJP, All Jharkhand Students’ Union (AJSU), all parties have only cheated with the people of Jharkhand and we will not ally with them. The people now want to hand the reins of Jharkhand to JVM. A district leader went on to add that the meeting was an important event in run to the election preparation.
