JP Nadda postpones PGIMER visit

Published on:

Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare and President of the Institute, J. P. Nadda has postponed his visit at PGIMER on January 24 due to his busy schedule for Delhi Assembly Elections.

Nadda, who is also general secretary of the party, has major responsibility in the Delhi Assembly Elections scheduled to be held on February 7.

Being one of the members in the Central Election Committee of the party, Nadda, recently on January 20, had declared remaining four candidates for upcoming Delhi Assembly polls and left four other seats for its ally Shiromani Akali Dal.

The party leadership has also asked all the union ministers, BJP ruled States’ chief ministers and important speakers of the party to concentrate on the Delhi polls, which have become a prestige issue for the party.

Nadda was scheduled to inaugurate two new patient care facilities at PGIMER- ‘Robotic Assisted Surgical Facility’ and ‘Image Guided Radiation Therapy Facility’.

Nadda is now expected to come to PGI after the completion of Delhi Assembly Elections by the end of February or mid March
