Published on:

Protesting against the anti-India slogans raised in JNU, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal activists on Wednesday vandalised the CPM office Cheema Bhawan here.

The enraged activists raised slogans and threw stones in the office damaging the window panes. No one was injured in the incident which took place in the evening at around 6 pm.

The CPM workers were not present in the office at that time, which prevented a clash. Police reached the spot after a while and removed the VHP and Bajrang Dal acticists. CPM alleged that the police deliberately allowed this illegal protest. Some protestors were detained by the police.
