Haryana may witness a four way political contest with the Jannayak Janta Party, Aam Aadmi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party taking on the grand old players—BJP, Congress and Indian National Lok Dal—in the ensuing Lok Sabha polls.
Reports of cracks in INLD-BSP alliance, has now set off speculation of a mahagathbandhan of Hisar MP Dushyant’s JJP, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s AAP and former UP Chief Minister Mayawati’s BSP.AAP had earlier supported the JJP, which is a splinter group of INLD in the Jind bypoll and both parties are already holding talks for seat sharing formula for Lok Sabha elections.
Sensing trouble in INLD-BSP alliance, the JJP leaders have also approached the BSP for a possible alliance for upcoming polls. On the other hand, AAP’s convenor Arvind Kejriwal and BSP supremo Mayawati are also keen on forming an alliance for the ensuing polls.
AAP’s Haryana chief Naveen Jaihind on Thursday also hinted at a possible alliance of three political parties in the state.
“The AAP is ready to form an alliance with any political party except BJP, Congress and INLD in Haryana,” he said while talking to the mediapersons here.
When asked whether there is possibility of a mahagathbandhan of JJP, AAP and BSP in Haryana for Lok Sabha polls, he said we are ready to form an alliance with like-minded parties. The talks for forming an alliance is ongoing, he said.
On being asked whether Arvind Kejriwal and Mayawati have discussed the possible alliance, Jaihind did not deny it but maintained that soon, issues related to alliance will be finalized.
On AAP’s alliance with the JJP, he said that the talks are on with the leaders of JJP but nothing has been finalized yet.
INLD’s chief OP Chautala elder son- Ajay Singh Chautala -is patron of the JJP while his two sons – Hisar MP Dushyant and Digvijay -are spearheading the party in the absence of Ajay, who is serving a 10-year jail term in connection with the teachers recruitment scam in Haryana.
