The Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) and Bahujan Samaj Party will contest the upcoming assembly elections in Haryana in an alliance.

“After several meetings of top leaders of both parties, it was decided that JJP and BSP will contest next Haryana Assembly elections in an alliance,” Chautala said.

JJP will contest on 50 and BSP will fight on 40 assembly seats in the state.

Chautala said that the alliance will win assembly elections in Haryana and called it a historic day in the history of Haryana politics.

He announced that the alliance would hold a historical rally on September 25 on the eve of birth anniversary of former deputy Prime Minister Late Devi Lal. He added that the leaders of both parties will decide the place of rally.

MP Satish Mishra said that the alliance is approved by BSP supremo Mayawati and JJP founder Ajay Singh Chautala.

He said that the people are in the state are fed up from ruling BJP government and they want a new revolutionary change.

With INLD chief Om Prakash Chautala being in jail in connection with the teacher recruitment scam, his son Ajay Chautala had broken away from the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) and formed Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) last year.

In general elections 2019, the Aam Aadmi Party and the JJP had joined hands to fight all the 10 Lok Sabha seats in Haryana. The AAP had fought on four seats while the JJP contested the remaining six. However, there was a clean sweep by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on all the constituencies.

Dushyant, son of Ajay Chautala, had contested Lok Sabha polls from Hisar but had lost to BJP's bureaucrat-turned-politician Brijendra Singh.
