The Haryana Government on Monday decided to consider Jamabandi records downloaded from the website as legal documents.

Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala, who also holds portfolio of Revenue, Development and Panchayats Department, said that earlier the land owners in the state had to visit the Patwaris concerned and offices to get a copy of their Jamabandi record for loan, court case or other related works. Following this process, the person had to get it stamped, attested and certified. While repeatedly visiting the concerned offices of the Department, they also had to spend their time and money.

He said that understanding this inconvenience caused to the land owners, a step has been taken to improve this process.  While staying at home, now any land owner of the state can download his Jamabandi record from www.jamabandi.in website. The signature of the concerned official is not required on this document. Digital verification and authentication will be done on the website automatically. He informed that this downloaded Jamabandi document from the website will be completely valid.
