Union Government’s Jal Shakti Department has invited applications from schools for the fourth National Water Award — organised to promote conservation of water resources in the country. Spokesperson said that the Awards were started for various categories to inspire people to conserve water. The best schools will also be awarded under this campaign by the Jal Shakti Department, he said. In this competition, first position holder school will be given Rs two lakh, the second place will be given Rs 1.50 lakh, and the third will be given Rs one lakh reward. Spokesperson said that the applications can be sent to www.awards.gov.in till September 15, 2022.
