Haryana Chief Secretary Sanjeev Kaushal while presiding over a review meeting regarding fire safety audit in jails has directed the officials concerned to formulate a fire fighting scheme as per the National Building Code so as to protect the jails from fire incidents. The Chief Secretary also directed the jail officials to strictly adhere to the fire safety norms in the jails in the next three months. Kaushal said that as per the directions of Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, all government buildings including Mini Secretariat, Civil Hospitals, Medical Colleges, Municipal Bodies and Jail Buildings should have all arrangements for fire prevention.
