It will be development plank for BJP: Sampla

Published on:

Punjab BJP president, Vijay Sampla on Friday said that the party would contest the Assembly elections on the agenda of development.

Sampla, also a Union Minister, said that the BJP would keep the developmental works carried out by the Akali-BJP regime during the last 10 years and the

progress made under Narendra Modi-led NDA Government before the voters.

Sampla discussed the current political situation with the 23 constituency party incharges and co-incharges and 12 district presidents and incharges and took a stock of poll preparations at the state party headquarters here.

Exhorting party workers and leaders to gear up for the polls, Sampla said, “The Akali-BJP combine is all set to return to power for the third consecutive time in Punjab. The Congress is busy fighting factionalism and AAP’s graph is on the decline owing to its own shortcomings.  Anti-incumbency wave is natural, but such a wave was never there for the BJP in the past and nor is it now.”
