Raising strong objection over BJP’s national president Amit Shah’s remarks against its supremo and former Haryana Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala, the INlD has sought an unconditional public apology from Shah by serving him a legal notice in this regard.
In the notice, Balwan Suhag, former INlD district president and member of its state executive, said Shah’s remarks against Chautala was objectionable as the latter not only was the chief of an established party but also had served as the State Chief Minister. Notably, Shah while addressing a gathering at Narnaud town in Hisar four days ago had said “Chautala lootata bhi hai aur petata bhi”.
“Shah’s derogatory remarks against our leader have hurt the feelings of INlD workers who now want a public apology from him. We will file a defamation suit against him if he does not apologise soon,” said Suhag, adding that Shah had lost his mental balance following the rising popularity of INlD in the State.
He said Chautala had always worked for welfare and development of every section of the society whenever he held the reins of government in the state hence Shah should withdraw his statement against him without further delay.
