INlD MPs to join Modi's oath-taking ceremony

Indian National lok Dal (INlD) has decided to attend the oath taking ceremony of Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi on May 26 in New Delhi.

A spokesman of INlD confirmed the move and said that it was only after getting an invitation that senior party leader Abhay Singh Chautala along with four MPs have decided to attend the ceremony.Four MPs who will take part in the swearing in ceremony are newly elected Dushyant Chautala from Hisar, Charanjeet Singh Rori from Sirsa lok-Sabha constituencies besides two Rajya Sabha MPs Ranbir Prajapati and Ram Kumar Kashyap.

The political temperature has soared in the State after the announcement as the INlD is an arch-rival of Haryana Janhit Congress, an ally of BJP in Haryana. Two of the candidates of HJC, which was allied with BJP during the recently concluded lok Sabha elections, were defeated by INlD. To top this, INlD increased its proximity with the BJP by announcing unconditional support to Narendra Modi from its four MPs.

However, INlD has ruled out any possibility of alliance with BJP during the assembly elections in the state. The party spokesperson said that its MPs are joining the oath taking ceremony as a formal invitation was sent to them and not as a part of the National Democratic Alliance.
