With senior leaders of Indian National lok Dal (INlD), party chief Om Prakash Chautala and his MlA son Ajay Singh Chautala in jail, the party on Tuesday fielded its MP Dushyant Chautala from Uchana Kalan and his mother, Naina Singh from Dabwali. The seats are represented by the two jailed leaders in the outgoing Haryana Assembly.
The two were in the fourth list of seven candidates which was released by the party in Jind on Tuesday. INlD chief’s MlA son Abhay Singh Chautala and Ashok Arora, State chief of the party announced the fourth and final list of candidates after waiting for their leaders stay in conviction.
As the last date of filing the nomination papers for Assembly polls is on September 27 and there was no possibility of the two jailed leaders getting a reprieve from the courts, INlD was forced to announce the candidates.
Recently elected MP from Hisar, Dushyant Chautala, has been chosen from Uchana Kalan from where his grandfather Om Prakash Chautala is sitting MlA and his mother Naina Singh has been announced candidate on his father Ajay Singh Chautala’s Dabwali seat.
Apart fro, the two, the other five candidates are Bachan Kaur Badshami, wife of another senior leader of INlD Sher Singh Badshami from ladwa seat, BJP leader Chander Bhatia who joined INlD recently from Badkhal, Neelam Narang from Panipat, Fakeer Chand from reserved Kalanaur, another BJP leader Parvesh Mehta who also recently joined INlD from Faridabad Old assembly constituencies.
Now the party has declared all its candidates for 88 assembly constituencies. Two seats of Kalanwali and Ambala have been given to its ally Akali Dal.
