To provide transport-related services in electronic mode to the people, the Punjab Government has implemented e-governance system in its Transport Department. Under the new system, the work related to the registration of the vehicles has been computerised.
“The department has uploaded information with regard to all registered vehicles on the website — www.punjabtransport.org,” said an official spokesperson adding the general public can check particulars of their vehicles by clicking on the link ‘Registration Data Verification’ on the website. The owner can get any problem rectified by submitting an application online.
