Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Friday said that the Union Ministry of Environment has given exemption in getting environment clearance to industrial units running in as many as eight district areas of the state coming under National Capital Region, where there is no access to pipe supply of CNG, PNG, and LPG.
The issue was discussed during a meeting between Khattar and Union Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change Prakash Javadekar in New Delhi.
After the meeting, the Chief Minister told the mediapersons that coal and other conventional energy sources would now be replaced with CNG, PNG and LPG in industrial units located in National Capital Region districts.
CNG, PNG, and LPG pipeline supply has not yet reached eight district areas of Haryana coming under NCR, and with this decision of giving exemption to industrial units, now these units too will be able to get CNG, PNG, and LPG supply in a hassle-free manner. The pipeline works of the industries units located in these eight districts are already in progress, he said. Khattar further said that environmental clearance would also be given to 15 long-established formaldehyde industrial units in Yamunanagar district so that those industrial units could uninterruptedly run their operations.
