Inderjit reiterates call for probe into DlF-Vadra deal

Gurgaon MP and disgruntled senior Congress leader Rao Inderjit Singh on Friday launched a scathing attack on Hooda Government and demanded an inquiry into Robert Vadra-DlF land deals.

“Robert Vadra is not above law”, reiterated Gurgaon MP during ‘Meet the Press’ programme in Chandigarh on Thursday. He said: “Vadra is also a citizen of India and all the rules and regulations of this country are applicable on him like others. let him face the probe in the said land deal between him and real estate giant DlF in Gurgaon, if he is guilty, he should face the punishment or if he is not, then, he should be released Scot-free,” added Singh. Singh also made Hooda Government responsible for all such land deals.

He alleged that Bhupinder Singh Hooda’s Government has released 80 per cent agricultural land of the State to builders under ClU (change of land use) scheme and issued them licenses to construct residential colonies to make money out of it and maximum land of 21,000 acres had been released in his constituency at Gurgaon.

“State Government used to change the draft and master plans of Gurgaon to benefit certain builders. It has been instrumental in changing draft as well as master plans of 2015, 2021 and 2031 to help certain builders and property dealers”, he said. Gurgaon MP added that his city had a total 80,000 acres of land and alleged that its master plan had been changed by Hooda’s Government in the last eight years to convert 54,000 acres out of the total for different purposes.

He further alleged that Hooda Government intentionally acquired land at the cost of 22 lakh per acre under Special Economic Zone (SEZ) and hand it over to the big companies to provide 5 lakh jobs to the unemployed youths. “When almost all the companies left out the project and SEZ has been failed in the state, then why the said land was not returned to the farmers from whom State Government had acquired the land,” he questioned.

The  State Government has distributed such pieces of lands to the builders, to further sell it at the cost of Rs 3 crore per acre in the State”, alleged Singh. Singh said that similar thing is being done in other districts of National capital regions including Faridabad, Rewari and Sonipat etc. He also termed State Congress as ‘Congress Private limited’.

When asked that there are certain documents which reveal that he himself had also recommended the state government for certain release of lands to the private companies, Singh refrained from answering the query.
