Lashing out at the BJP led Central Government over the alleged Rafale scam, Ashok Tanwar said that the UPA Government had proposed to buy 126 Rafale fighter planes for Rs 526 crore per plane costing Rs 66276 crore, but the current NDA Government by the historic scam bought only 36 planes at the rate of Rs 1670 crore per plane costing Rs 210720 crore.
This scam involves an amount which is even bigger than the annual budget of Haryana which amounts to 1.15 lakh crore, he alleged.
Tanwar also called the demonetization as a scam which benefited BJP leaders. He said that the RBI has admitted that 99.30 percent old currency notes have come back, if all the old note have come back where is the black money?, he asked.
In fact the BJP Government in place of abolishing black money, devised this scheme to change the black money of BJP leaders into white one, he alleged.
On the issue of hike in petroleum products, Tanwar said that the steep rise is picking the pockets of the people daily. In 2014, during the Congress regime, the price of petrol was Rs 71 per litre whereas now it is Rs 91 per litre. The rate of kerosene has also risen from Rs 15 to 26 per litre. The rise in the price of kerosene has put unbearable burden on the poor people, he added.
