Senior IAS officer Sumita Misra’s another book of poems was released on Monday by well known litterateur, Ashok Vajpai.
Titled Zara Si Dhoop, compilation of poems, is the second book of Misra, presently Director General, Haryana Tourism. All poems mirror Misra’s sensitivity and intellectual brilliance. These poems not only depict various discrepancies of present society, but also reveal the discomfort of qualitative change in society. It’s her meaningful and positive vision of life which has made these poems very interesting. The collection of poems is as vast as it is varied. Some poems are based on warmth of relationship and finer feelings of human beings.
The sigh and groan of human values in the grip of meager cultural materialism and consumerism is clearly projected in these poems. The language and style of new poetry collection of Misra is very simple, spontaneous and creative. It also enables the readers to understand her sensitivity towards human emotions, which one finds at its peak in this book. The book is compilation of 75 poems and has been published by Unistar Books.
