HTET level-3 exam to be held soon

Published on:

Haryana Education Minister Ram Bilas Sharma on Tuesday said that Haryana Teachers Eligibility Test (HTET) level-3 exam will be held soon and a meeting will be convened with senior officers on the issue.

The level-3 exam of Haryana Teachers Eligibility Test was cancelled on Saturday after police arrested three people from near an examination centre in Jind on suspicion of leaking answer keys of the paper.

The Minister had earlier directed the State Director General of Police to investigate the matter of paper leak of HTET level-3 and said that the guilty would not be spared.

He had also asked the Additional Chief Secretary, Education, Kesani Anand Arora to look into the matter.

As many as 1.37 lakh candidates had appeared in the exam held at 430 examination centres across the State conducted by the School Board of Education, Haryana (SBEH).

This is the fourth instance of a question paper leak in Haryana in the past six months. Earlier, the question paper and answer keys of All India Pre-medical Test (AIPMT), selection exam of junior basic training (JBT) teachers of the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KWS) and Centre’s Staff Selection Commission test were leaked.

Meanwhile, the Opposition has slammed the ruling BJP for failing to organise the Haryana Teachers Eligibility Test  exam as per the schedule. Both INlD and Congress, criticising the State Government said that earlier, the case of leaking of PMT exam was witnessed and now, HTET exam, BJP has failed to conduct such exams in Haryana.
