Haryana Government has decided that applications for grant of authorisation for utilisation and recycling of hazardous and other wastes under Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016 will only be entertained if applied through online module.
Henceforth, no application would be accepted on hard copy, said a spokesman of Haryana State Pollution Control Board (HSPCB).
He said that all such concerned industries now would apply on the portal of Haryana Enterprises Promotion Centre (HEPC) through online module. However, the applications already received in the Board on hard copy would be considered as per the existing procedure laid down by the Board.
The HSPCB has developed online module for processing the applications to grant authorization for utilization and recycling of hazardous and other wastes, under Rule 6(1) of Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016, said he.
The spokesperson further said that the regional officers of the Board have been authorised to issue the authorization and passbook for utilization and recycling of hazardous and other wastes after approval from the competent authority, with the modification in the procedure already laid down.
