After splurging crores of rupees on ad blitzkrieg that tom-toms its achievements over the last two and a half years, the Manohar lal Khattar Government is now set to bring out coffee table books for 50 cities of Haryana to highlight its success stories.
The publishing of coffee table books is a part of activities to commemorate the golden jubilee year of Haryana besides highlighting the achievements of maiden BJP Government during first half of its five years tenure in the state.
About 5000 copies of such books including 100 each for 50 key cities of Haryana will highlight the initiatives being taken by the BJP led State Government in these cities. The book would have multiple chapters including on achievements talking about the growth and development works happening in the city under various segments and genres like urban growth, infrastructural development, economic progress, social betterment, industrial growth, women empowerment, sports achievements among others.
Notably, the BJP led Haryana Government will complete three years on October 26 and the golden jubilee year of Haryana will conclude onOctober 31. Consequently, the BJP has planned to organise a massive rally in October or November and invite Prime Minister Narendra Modi to celebrate both occasions in the state.
“The coffee table books for each 50 cities of Haryana would have different segments. The key cities include Gurugram, Faridabad, Ambala, Panchkula, Sonepat, Yamunanagar, Panipat, Rohtak among others. The list includes 10 municipal corporations, 18 municipal councils and 22 municipal committees,” said a senior official of State Government.
The official said that besides, highlighting the achievements of the BJP led State Government, the coffee table book would have chapters on history of that city and other significant details, stories of famous people belonging to that city, tourist and religious places, messages from elected representatives.
The coffee table books for 50 cities are likely to be released at the proposed mega event of BJP Government in October or November. These books would carry Swarna Jayanti logo released by the State Government last year, added he.
From organising cultural festivals to national conventions and launching welfare schemes to special competitions, Haryana Government had chalked out a celebration calendar from November 1, 2016 to October 31, 2017 to mark the golden jubilee year.
Even as the tenure of BJP led Haryana Government was replete with controversies and fiascos including the violent Jat quota stir last year, the State Government has left no stone unturned to promote its achievements by splurging over crores of rupees on a massive advertisement campaign in print media and on radio and television in last two years.
The completion of three years tenure of BJP in Haryana would also witness a whirlwind of activity including an ad blitzkrieg and big government events to highlight its achievements.
The Manohar lal Government has lately been hitting headlines for all the wrong reasons. If last year, the violent Jat agitation rocked the state, now the mishandling of dera violence issue has raised serious questions over the functioning of the government.
