KM Pandurang, Director General, Information, Public Relations, Languages and Culture, Haryana on Wednesday said that this year’s Republic Day celebrations will feature Haryana's tableau on New Delhi's Kartavya Path, showcasing a divine depiction of the state's prosperity, heritage, and development. The tableau will highlight Haryana's rich cultural heritage through the portrayal of the divine message of the Bhagavad Gita, delivered by Lord Shri Krishna to Arjuna in Kurukshetra. Additionally, it will offer a glimpse of a modern Haryana, a sports powerhouse, reflecting the state's continuous development in technology and innovation, alongside the stellar achievements of its athletes.

He said this while presenting Haryana's tableau to the media at the Rashtriya Rangshala Camp in New Delhi on Wednesday. He explained that the front part of the tableau portrays Lord Krishna delivering the message of Bhagavad Gita to Arjuna before the Mahabharata war at the sacred Jyotisar Tirtha in Kurukshetra. This divine message, imparted by Lord Krishna to humanity through Arjuna, stands as a testament to Haryana's enduring contribution to India’s spiritual and cultural heritage.

The middle section of the tableau features a craft cart inspired by the Surajkund Mela, showcasing Haryana’s rich art and handicrafts. Behind the craft cart, a 'Haryanvi Tau' is depicted working on a laptop, symbolizing how Haryana’s farmers are utilizing information technology to enhance their daily lives and farming practices. Through digital platforms like 'Meri Fasal-Mera Byora,' they access government schemes and check crop prices online. Nearby, two schoolgirls in uniform represent Haryana’s commitment to women empowerment and gender equality, reflecting the impact of programs like Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao.

Pandurang said that the rear section of the tableau depicts a blend of skyscrapers, modernization, and urbanization in Gurugram. This part highlights how Haryana has emerged as a leading state in technology, innovation, and technical advancements. The modernization of Gurugram through the PPP model, along with its status as a leader in software exports, symbolizes the identity of a new and prosperous Haryana. In addition to technological progress, the state is also making its mark as a hub for startups and innovation.

The final section of the tableau features Olympic athletes from Haryana standing proudly on a skyscraper, symbolizing the state's remarkable sports achievements. Haryana is renowned as a sports powerhouse, contributing more than 30 percent of India’s medals in international competitions, including the Olympics and Commonwealth Games, despite comprising only 2 percent of the nation's population and 1.34 percent of its geographical area. This year, Haryana's athletes won 16 Olympic and Paralympics medals, further solidifying its identity as a sports hub. This success is a direct result of the Haryana Government's exemplary sports policy, the encouragement provided to athletes, and the relentless dedication of the state's talented players. This section honors the hard work, dedication, and achievements of Haryana's athletes, who bring pride and prestige to both the state and the nation. Through this tableau, Haryana has demonstrated its unwavering commitment to showcasing India’s new and developed form on Republic Day 2025.

Pandurang informed that this is the fourth consecutive year that Haryana's tableau will have the honor of being showcased on the Kartavya Path in New Delhi during the Republic Day celebrations. This year, the theme of Haryana's tableau is 'Samridh Haryana-Virasat Aur Vikas' with its construction completed at the Rashtriya Rangshala Camp of the Ministry of Defense, Government of India. Previous Haryana tableau has successfully featured themes such as 'Khelo Mai Number One - Haryana' in 2022, 'International Gita Mahotsav' in 2023, and 'Mera Parivar-Meri Pehchan' in 2024.
