In order to clear outstanding cane payments to the cane growers, Haryana Government has released Rs72.50 crore to the cooperative sugar mills for the crushing season 2014-15. An official spokesman said that in next few days, this payment would be available in cooperative sugar mills to be distributed among cane growers. Giving details of the released amount, he said that Rs8.50 crore each has been released to Cooperative Sugar Mill Kaithal, Jind, Panipat and Gohana, Rs8.37 crore each has been released to Cooperative Sugar Mill Rohtak, Sonepat, Meham and Karnal.
