To promote Haryanvi films and to encourage film business in the state, Haryana Government has chalked out the film policy and its draft would be tabled in the cabinet meeting in August, Rajiv Jain, media advisor to Chief Minister Manohar lal, said on Friday.
Jain said that once approved, the film policy would be uploaded on the website. The policy would be launched next month, he said. Manohar lal had directed that film policy be made to meet the long pending demands of the people, he said.
Jain said that soon, fresh recruitment would be made and promotions will be done to meet the shortage of staff in the Department of Information, Public Relations and languages.
All DIPROs have been directed to do at least one night halt programme in a month in the villages of their respective districts to generate awareness among the people about government policies. They would submit positive as well as negative feedback to the Chandigarh headquarters, he added.
Sameer Pal Srow, Director General, said the department had prepared 25 films to be shown to the public, and, by next month, 50 films would be ready. All DIPROs have been directed to keep the collection of these films in their libraries so that these could be shown to public from time to time under the publicity campaign.
An action plan is being prepared for publicity campaign on the completion of four years of the present government. Under this campaign, various programmes would be organised at district, sub-division and block level. These will include films, jingles, hoardings and audio-visuals, he added.
