Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal on Monday said that State Government has been rapidly implementing the schemes for doubling the income of farmers and it has prepared a scheme for constructing cemented tracks towards farm fields to facilitate the farmers.

“This year, 25 kilometre tracks in each assembly constituency would be made with bricks and in the ensuing financial year, 100 kilometres such tracks in each assembly constituency would be cemented,” said the Chief Minister while speaking at a public meeting at village Chaurmastpur in district Ambala.

Earlier, he inaugurated and laid foundation stones of various projects worth Rs 100 crore.

Manohar Lal said that economic security has been provided to farmers through Fasal Bima Yojana.

He urged the farmers to avail maximum benefit of this scheme because the insurance companies pay more compensation in case of any damage caused to crops due to natural calamities.

The Chief Minister said that during the tenure of previous governments, there was corruption in all government works such as granting CLUs, transfers and granting licences to builders.

He said that the present State Government has put a check on corruption at all levels. As per the survey conducted by a private organization, there was 51 per cent corruption in the state in 2014 which has reduced to 19 per cent in 2018, he claimed.

The Chief Minister said that the State Government would also eliminate this 19 per cent remaining corruption with the assistance of people.

He said that the present State Government has accelerated the pace of development and as compared to 61,000 crore budget of 2014, this year’s budget was Rs 1,15,000 crores. Apart from this, about Rs 35 to 40 crore was saved by putting a check on corruption which has been utilized for development works, he said.

Manohar Lal further said that people of the state have supported the politics of development and ensured victory of BJP candidates to the post of Mayor in five Municipal Corporations in the recent MC elections. Now, the era of nepotism, regionalism has come to end and people have been supporting politics of development, he added.

He also said that unprecedent improvement has been done in the health services across the state.

Better health services are being provided at both rural and urban areas. About 15.50 lakh poor and needy families of the state are being provided free of cost treatment facility up to Rs five lakh under Ayushmaan Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, the Chief Minister added.

On this occasion, he distributed e-Golden Cards to five beneficiaries of district Ambala under Ayushmaan Bharat Yojana and said that such cards have so far been distributed 12,000 families in the district.

During the public meeting, the Chief Minister asked the gathering whether they have availed benefit of Ujjwala Yojana to which five women replied that they have not received LPG connection.
