Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal on Monday called upon panna pramukhs to ensure that each voter casts his/her vote besides being on alert to check bogus voting.
While addressing a meeting of panna pramukhs under the ‘Mera Booth Sabse Majboot’ program at Kosli near here, the Chief Minister said that if the booth is won it means victory for the party in the elections.
The panna pramukhs (page incharge) are BJP volunteers who are given a single page of voter list which includes a maximum of 50 voters and a responsibility to connect with these voters before the polling day.
Manohar Lal said that in the Lok Sabha elections each vote matters. Not even a single voter should be left out. The casting of each vote in Haryana will result in blooming of Lotus in all the 10 Lok Sabha constituencies, he added.
The Chief Minister said that at the same time they have to be vigilant to check bogus voting.
He said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working within the country and outside as a vigilant chowkidar.
“Similarly it becomes the duty of each panna pramukh to be an effective chowkidar at their assigned polling booths on May 12 when voting takes place in Haryana," the Chief Minister added.
Manohar Lal further said that the panna pramukhs must also disseminate information about the welfare measures, including Ujjawala scheme, Ayushman Bharat, Kisan Samman Nidhi and Jan Dhan launched by the BJP governments at the Centre and in the states.
Each panna pramukh must meet each voter in his voter list and besides detailing past works done must also brief them about the development and welfare programs to be undertaken in the future, he said.
The Chief Minister also asked panna pramukhs to make WhatsApp groups of voters in their page of voters list for having interactions with the residents.
He said that the Lok Sabha election is not just an election but it is also an occasion to take pledge for protecting the unity and integrity of the country.
The Prime Minister is fighting nation's battle against poverty, unemployment etc besides taking steps to protect the nation from internal and external dangers, he said.
Each partymen must ensure that each vote goes to the BJP so that the hands of the Narendra Modi get strengthened further and he gets another term as Prime Minister, he added.
Manohar Lal said that BJP does not identify itself with religion, caste or nepotism but with love for the country. Hence all panna pramukhs must work for getting votes of all sections of the society, he added.
Attacking the Congress, he said that Congress ruled the nation for most part since Independence but various problems including unemployment, poverty, price rise still remain. It is waste of time to talk about Congress because mother-son, son in law, former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda are all out on bail in different cases, he said.
On the occasion, the panna pramukhs also assured the Chief Minister that they would wholeheartedly work to ensure the victory of the BJP so that Narendra Modi returns as Prime Minister.
