Haryana Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has decided to launch a three-day-long special membership drive to make as many members as possible, said BJP State president Subhash Barala, adding the ongoing membership drive of the party is being organised intensively across the state.

Barala said that BJP had secured maximum votes at each booth during last parliamentary election and under the strategy of making such votes as party members, three days special membership drive will be launched at as many as 20, 000 booths across the state on July 20, July 21 and July 22.

The Party president said that all district party heads, district membership drive chief, division president, division membership drive chief and others have been directed to ensure that each party member is actively participated in this drive by encouraging the voters to become party members.

Each BJP member has been assigned target of making at least 25 new voters during the special drive, he said, adding to accelerate the drive, all the office bearers must motivate and ensure energetic participation by existing members throughout the drive. Our goal is not only to increase the number, but to take party's ideology to the people and hence must celebrate the drive as a festival, he added.

Barala said that people follow the party’s ideology and large numbers of them had voted the party in the last Lok Sabah election. If such people become party’s member then it would have direct and positive impact in the upcoming assembly election, he said, adding all district presidents, district membership drive conveners and co-conveners and morcha in-charges will have to actively participate in this special drive.
