Haryana Government has asked all the banks to complete the aadhaar seeding in all bank accounts by December 31, 2017.
Chief Secretary DS Dhesi on Friday, while speaking at the 142nd State level Bankers’s Committee Meeting, Haryana asked all banks and lead Bank Managers (lDMs) to complete the aadhaar seeding in bank accounts by December 31.
He also said the objective of aadhaar enrolment was not to deny the benefits to any person rather its purpose is to enable all persons of the State to have an Aadhaar to avail all benefits through Aadhaar.
Dhesi also expressed his concern about the declining cash deposit ratio of the state during the last two-three years and urged upon the bankers to find ways and means to improve it
He said that the state has achieved three major milestones i.e. becoming a kerosene free state, first state to become open defecation free and the state to distribute Public Distribution System (PDS) through Point of Sale (PoS) machines.
