A Congress delegation led by former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Wednesday met Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya and sought an independent probe into the recruitment scam of dental surgeons under the supervision of a sitting High Court judge.
After meeting the Governor, Hooda told mediapersons that dismissing the HPSC deputy secretary Anil Nagar was only a cover-up exercise and an independent probe could throw light on complicity of higher-ups in the HPSC recruitment scam. The delegation of about 20 Congress MLAs submitted a memorandum to the Governor.
We have demanded an inquiry under the supervision of a sitting High Court judge. The Governor has assured us to look into the matter, he said.
