Himachal Principal Secretary Technical Education and Industries RD Dhiman on Friday said Himachal Pradesh Kaushal Vikas Nigam (HPKVN) was all set to impart training to 3,180 youth this year, out of which 1,440 trainees were undergoing training in 37 centres through batches in different streams.
Presiding over a review meeting of Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Yojana with Training Service Providers (TSP), here, Dhiman impressed upon HPKVN and TSPs to take up the job roles suited to Himachali Youth with genuine placement potential within the State. He also suggested setting in place a robust mobilisation strategy with the support of HPKVN District Coordinators, and forging linkages with industry to assess the demand of skilled manpower for sustainable placement opportunities for certified youth. He also assured to strengthen HPKVN district teams for support to the TSPs and quality audits of training programme.
Managing Director HPKVN Rohan Chand Thakur said that Nigam was all set to enhance the skills of youth so that they could get employment in various industrial houses and self employment as well.
