Thirty two fatalities, the highest single-day rise so far was reported in Himachal as 1363 fresh Covid-infections surfaced in the state on Sunday.
The death toll has now reached 1323 in the hill state while the total case tally was recorded at 87501 The active cases jumped to 13577 till the evening. Kangra, the worst affected district reported 12 deaths in the last 24 hours. Four deaths each were reported in Shimla and Mandi, three deaths each were reported in Una and Hamirpur, two deaths were reported in Sirmaur and Solan, one each in Bilaspur, Kullu.
Kangra reported the highest number of fresh infections at 423 followed by 229 in Sirmaur and 224 cases in Shimla.
149 cases were reported in Solan, 104 in Hamirpur, 83 in Mandi, 64 in Bilaspur, 27 in Kullu.
Out of total 13577 active cases, Kangra reported the highest number of active cases at 3162 followed by 2408 cases in Solan and 1569 in Shimla.
1161 people recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours taking the total recoveries to 72557 in the state.
7137 tests were conducted in the state till 7 pm in the last 24 hours. Till date, 14.47 lakh tests have been conducted in the state.
