Himachal Government has enhanced the cost of cooking of mid day meal per student in the schools of the State.
A spokesperson of the State Government on Sunday said that the per student cooking and conversation cost of the mid day meal provided from Classes 1 to VIII of Government and non Government school, under the mid day meal scheme has been enhanced from July 1, 2016.
At primary level (classes I to V), the cooking and conversation cost has been enhanced from Rs3.86 to Rs4.14 per student whereas at middle level (classes VI to VIII) from Rs5.78 to Rs6.18per student, he said.
The spokesman added that instructions regarding the implementation of the same have been given to all district and block level education officers.
