Prime Minister Narendra Modi was briefed by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur on Saturday through a video conference from Shimla regarding arrangements made by the State Government for his proposed visit to the State to inaugurate Atal Tunnel Rohtang on October 3.
The Chief Minister thanked the Prime Minister for giving his consent for inauguration of the Tunnel. Secretary, Union Ministry of Defence Ajay Kumar made a detailed presentation regarding the event and also about salient features of the Atal Tunnel.
Chief Secretary Anil Khachi, Additional Chief Secretary Home Manoj Kumar, Director General of Police Sanjay Kundu, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister J.C. Sharma, Secretary GAD Devesh Kumar and other senior officers were also present on the occasion.
