Punjab Government has directed its officials to ensure proper cleanliness in Government Medical Colleges and Hospitals while fixing the responsibilities of Medical Superintendent for the purpose.
Minister for Medical Education and Research Chunni lal Bhagat, presiding over a meeting on Thursday to review hospitals’ conditions, said that the standards of service should be raised.
He told that the cleanliness work of hospitals is being done by Sulab Internationals.
“The officials should review the work of cleanliness strictly so that patients should be treated in clean environment,” he added.
The Minister also said that it should be ensured that toilets are properly cleaned.
“It would be the sole responsibility of the Superintendents to ensure proper cleanliness in hospitals,” he added.
