A record 22 Covid-19 fatalities were reported in Himachal on Monday as 454 positive cases were detected in the hill State. “The death toll reached 550 while the total case tally stood at 34,781,” stated Himachal’s evening health bulletin.
In the last 24 hours, 12 deaths have been reported in Shimla, three each in Mandi and Kangra, two in Bilaspur, one each in Solan and Kullu. Of the 454 fresh cases, a maximum of 90 cases were reported in Solan, 88 in Kangra, 69 in Mandi, 60 in Kullu, as per the bulletin.
Till now, 27,518 people have recovered from the virus in the State. 785 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, it said. According to the bulletin, there were 6,680 active cases in the State till the evening. Shimla has the highest number of active cases in the State at 1,605 followed by 1,175 in Mandi, 1,000 in Kullu and 718 in Solan. So far, 4,90,994 Covid-19 tests have been conducted in the State, the bulletin added.
