Himachal Pradesh on Friday reported 37 fatalities and 2358 fresh Covid cases. The state’s caseload reached 99287 while the death toll stood at 1484.
As per the state’s health bulletin, there were 18425 active cases in the hill state till the evening. A day before, the hill state had recorded the highest single-day fatalities at 40 and record spike of 3040 fresh cases.
Kangra, the worst affected district in the state again recorded the highest number of fresh infections and deaths. In the last 24 hours, 10 deaths were reported in Kangra, seven in Sirmaur, five in Shimla, four each in Hamirpur, Una, three in Mandi, two in Kullu, one each in Kinnaur and Solan.
595 fresh cases were reported in Kangra followed by 442 in Mandi, 220 in Hamirpur, 195 in Solan, 186 in Shimla, 183 in Una, 179 in Bilaspur among other cases.
Out of total 18435 active cases, Kangra reported the highest number of active cases at 4604 followed by 2847 cases in Solan and 2028 in Mandi. 1730 people recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours taking the total recoveries to 79310 in the state.
