Himachal Forest Minister Thakur Singh Bharmouri and Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Dhani Ram Shandil on Monday slammed BJP leader and former Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal for calling the governance in the hill State as Mafia Raj.
In a statement released here, they said that Dhumal was facing a challenge within the party and on the verge of losing identity in the State as a result of which he had been issuing such absurd statements. "The rally organised by BJP at Solan was mere a political drama through which Dhumal was trying to re-establish his waning existence," they said.
Bharmouri and Shandil claimed Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh has ensured all round development of the State and Himachal was making rapid strides on major development parameters.
It appears that Dhumal and BJP leaders are not able to see the milestones achieved by the present Government in socio-economic development of the State, they said. "The achievements of the present government was posing challenge to the BJP whose leaders fear to lose their seats and existence in the coming days. The State Government has taken historical decisions for all round development and public welfare in the State. The leaders of BJP are bereft of any major issues as a result, they are issuing baseless statements. The State BJP is without any policy and also without any able leader," the statement by the two Cabinet ministers said.
