Himachal Governor Kalyan Singh and Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh have condoled the demise of former President of India Bharat Ratna Dr APJ Abdul Kalam.
The Governor said that Dr Abdul Kalam dedicated his life for the service of nation and his life was an inspiration for every citizen especially youth and children with whom he interacted most. He said that his contribution as a President and also as scientist and educationist will be remembered always.
Virbhadra Singh prayed to Almighty to grant peace to the departed soul and strength to family members to bear the irreparable loss. In his condolence message, the chief minister said that Dr. Abdul Kalam was a great scientist, a luminary and a statesman of repute. He said that no salute will be enough for this great son of Mother India who was an icon for the children and the youth of the country and a great dedicated teacher until the very end.
