The Haryana Government has planned to provide the libraries of all Government universities and colleges with high-bandwidth internet in order to improve the quality of education.
The State Education Minister Ram Bilas Sharma on Thursday said that efforts are being made to bring uniformity in academic calendar of all Government universities and colleges, in order to ensure that students migrating from one college to another do not face difficulties. Sharma said that the State Government will also link libraries of all Government universities and colleges with high-bandwidth internet.
The Education Minister said that a new education policy is being framed at the national level, in which emphasis would be laid on intellectual, spiritual and physical development of students and providing a better environment in Government schools. He added that meetings have been organised in 6,072 villages for the framing of the new policy. 119 meetings have been organised at block and urban local bodies levels and 21 meetings at district level for this purpose.
