Prior to the launch of ambitious ‘Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao’ scheme in Haryana’s Panipat, a galaxy of dignitaries will descend on Panipat to attend a high-level workshop on "Best Practices for Women and Child Development" on January 20. Union Minister of Women and Child Development Maneka Gandhi and Haryana Chief Minister Manohar lal will inaugurate the two-day National Thematic Workshop at Panipat on January 20.
A spokesman of Haryana Women and Child Development Department said that as many as 135 participants from 33 states including lt. Governor, Chief Ministers, Ministers and Secretaries are participating in the two days long workshop. The dignitaries who would participate in the two days seminar-cum-workshop included Gujarat Chief Minister Anandi Ben Patel, Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhra Raje Sindhia, lt. Governor of Andaman and Nicobar lt. General AK Singh, Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare Jai Prakash Nadda, Minister of State for Ministry of Human Resource Development Upendra Kushwaha among others.
