Conflict Management and Counselling Cell at district level will be established in Haryana for providing counselling to students, parents and teachers for resolving conflicts of students in the State.
In the first phase, it would be established in 13 districts of the State, said a spokesman of the Haryana School Education Department on Friday.
He said that the districts where the Cell would be established included Faridabad, Panchkula, Jhajjar, Rohtak, Gurugram, Hisar, Fatehabad, Kaithal, Mahendergarh, Bhiwani, Rewari, Sonipat and Kurukshetra.
They key objectives of the Conflict Management and Counselling Cell are to enable students to be assertive, build self-confidence, deal with academic stress and poor academic performance, effectively solve problems, resolve conflicts, develop persona, create self-awareness, manage stress, manage emotions; choose right career and develop self esteem, the spokesman said.
The administrative and record maintenance work of school or DIET would not be assigned to counselling psychologists. Also, no classes would be assigned to counselling psychologists to teach except on psychological topic, as and when requested, he said.
He further said that record register named 'guidance record' would be maintained by counselling psychologists regarding number of students and class to whom guidance on a particular topic was delivered.
However, no details of any student would be shared with any Principal or School Head and staff member of school or office of Block Education Officer (BEO) office and District Education Officer (DEO), he added.
The spokesman said that query register would also be maintained by Counselling Psychologist, in order to note down common queries raised by students, parents and teachers, so that data could be built up.
No Principal, school staff or any official would interfere any counselling session unless requested by student herself or himself or by parents, he added.
