Haryana Government has announced to provide wi-fi services in 1,000 villages in a phased manner. As many as 100 villages have already been covered under these services.

The Chief Minister Manohar lal on Thursday said that the state is heading towards digital revolution but a lot more needed to be done in this direction.

We have realised the concept of ‘Sarkar Aapke Dwar’ in real terms through e-governance and IT, said he while interacting with mediapersons after launching the e-services of three departments namely Printing and Stationary Department,  labour Department, and web portal for online services for grid connected rooftop solar power plants of the New and Renewable Energy Department.

In reply to a question, the Chief Minister said that cashless system is being promoted in government departments. Stalls would be set up to impart training in cashless system at the Basant Mela to be organised at every district headquarter on February 1.

Speaking on this occasion, the Printing and Stationary Minister, M Manish Kumar Grover, said the department would stop physical printing of the gazette. It would be made available only in e-mode at the website. With this, the department would save the cost of paper, postage and labour, and the citizens would get notifications digitally at their door-step, he said.
