Haryana Women and Child Development Department will implement a pilot project known as Poorna Shakti Kendra (PSK) in Mewat to facilitate and empower rural women.
The Centre will provide Rs40.11 lakh for this PSK project.
Women and Child Development Minister Geeta Bhukkal said, the project would be implemented in Mewat through a non Government organisation called SMART. As many as 10 Panchayats of Mewat would be covered in the first phase.
The Centre has approved the proposal for setting up of District Convergence cum Facilitation Centre (DCFC), Block Convergence cum facilitation Centre (BCFC) and Village Convergence cum Facilitation Centre (VCFC) under the PSK project.
