Haryana Agriculture Minister OP Dhankar said that Union Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh would inaugurate a 2-day workshop “Horticulture Vision-2026” being organised by Haryana Horticulture Department in New Delhi on April 21. Dhankar, while addressing a Press conference here said that Chief Minister Manohar lal would address the participants on the concluding day of the workshop on April 22.
He said that the main objective to organize the workshop was to take the horticulture to the new heights in the next decade, especially in national capital region. The progressive farmers, experts from horticulture and officers of the department would also participate in the workshop. At present, seven percent of the area is under horticulture in the state. The deliberations about the challenges how to increase the production and productivity of horticulture would be held in the workshop and year to year action plan to achieve the target would also be discussed, added the Minister.
