Haryana Sports Department has invited applications for giving cash prizes to those players who have brought laurels to the State during the year 2012-13 by bagging medals at national and international level.
A spokesman of the department said that the players could send their applications to the office of their concerned District Sports and Youth Affairs Officer by September 25, this year. The applications should be in the prescribed format, the sample of which is available on website of the Department. The applicant should be a resident of Haryana. The photo copies of his domicile certificate along with certificates of his achievements should be attached with the application form.The Department has decided to give scholarships to those students of schools and colleges who have bagged first, second and third positions in sports at State and national level in the financial year 2012-13. These students would get scholarships under New Sports Policy, 2009. All such players should submit their applications along with supporting certificates in the office of concerned District Sports and Youth Affairs Officer by October 25.
