Haryana to give age relaxation to un-regularised employees

Published on:

Haryana Government has decided to give relaxation of five years in the maximum age limit to all un-regularised employees working in any medical institution of the state or the Central Government.

With this concession, such employees would be able to apply for regular jobs up to the age of 47 years.

Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij on Thursday presided over a meeting of the Health Department and  said that the decision would benefit employees belonging to 13 categories, including staff nurses, multi-purpose health workers, lab technicians and store keepers.

In another meeting with senior officials on making Haryana drugs-free, Vij issued directions to the Health Department to draft a proposal for recruitment of clinical psychologists for smooth functioning of the de-addiction centres in the state.

While 13 de-addiction centres are functional in the state, more would be opened in all districts, he added.

Under the multi-pronged approach being adopted by the State Government for developing ‘drug-free Haryana’, a framework is being prepared to implement policies which would focus specifically on the National Capital Region, districts bordering Punjab, and other districts of the state.

Also, special emphasis would be laid on preventing drug trafficking and consumption among youth in districts bordering Punjab.
