Haryana Government is set to formulate a scheme to permanently solve the problem of shortage of drinking water and drainage of dirty water in all villages of the State.
With implementation of the joint scheme of the Irrigation and Public Health Engineering Departments, there would be no shortage of basic amenities in any part of the State, said Chief Minister Manohar lal, while addressing the Jan Vikas rally organised in Bahadurgarh on Sunday. Funds required for the scheme would be provided, he added. Hailing Bahadurgarh as the land of heroes and martyrs, he paid tributes to the martyrs, especially Brig. Hoshiar Singh, who sacrificed their lives for the country. The Chief Minister dedicated `93 crore development schemes for the people of Bahadurgarh.
To meet the demand for the 8.5-km northern bypass, he asked the farmers to offer land at the market rate. The scheme would be implemented as soon as land is made available. Once the encroachments on the West Juan Drain are removed, the area would be improved and roads would be constructed on both sides of the drain, said he. The Chief Minister said that due to public awareness of the Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao programme and strictness, sex ratio had improved in the state. He expressed his gratitude to Khap Panchayats and social institutions for making this programme a success.
