Haryana Government has decided to commemorate the birth centenary year of Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay in a befitting manner to disseminate the message of ‘Antyodaya’ and ‘Ekatam Manavad’ (integral humanism) propagated by him at the grass root level.
The State Government will organise a series of programmes throughout Haryana to observe his birth anniversary.
Haryana Governor Kaptan Singh Solanki on Thursday chaired the first meeting of State level Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Birth Centenary Commemoration Committee here at Raj Bhawan. While Kaptan Singh Solanki is the patron of the committee, Chief Minister Manohar lal Khattar is the chairman.

He said that as this year is being commemorated as the birth centenary of Pt. Deendayal, the State Government has decided to organise various activities and events throughout Haryana and for this, a blue-print has been prepared.
‘Khel Mahakumbh’ scheduled to be held in the month of September and October 2017 would be named after Pt. Deendayal. Apart from this, a Granth Mala based on his life has been published and 2000 copies of it have been distributed to libraries throughout the state, said Khattar.
