Haryana seeks permission to procure mustard above limit

Conceding the demand of the farmers of the state, the Haryana Government has urged the Central Government for permission to procure mustard crop over and above the 25 per cent limit imposed by the latter.

As soon as the Centre agrees and allows relaxation, the state would procure more mustard crop, said

Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, OP Dhankar, while talking to the mediapersons in Hisar on Sunday.

“On the demand of farmers, we have sought permission from the Central Government for the procurement of more mustard crop, and, if we get the permission, we would procure more mustard crop”, he said.

On the issue of using Vyayamshalas as RSS shakhas (units) in the state, Dhankar said the Vyayamshalas being opened across the state were common places for children, young and old, where they could perform yoga. These can also be utilized for public interest by social or youth organizations, said.

“We have no objection if the Congress party too wants to make use of these Vyayamshalas”, he added.

Replying to a question on the demand made by MP Dushyant Chautala, for releasing white papers on the foreign visits of the Chief Minister  Manohar lal, Dhankar said people knew well what used to happen during the foreign visits undertaken during the INlD regime.

Before demanding white papers from the present government, the INlD should release white papers regarding the foreign visits during its tenure. If the Chief Minister or minister of the present government goes on foreign tour, they go for work, not for excursion, he added.
